EARTHING HOUSE GI Plate Earthing is a conventional and widely approved grounding method used in residential, commercial, and industrial electrical installations across India. In This Type or Earthing we use  a Hot Dip Galvanised (HDG) GI Plate Electrode connected with one /two runs of GI hot dip galvanised strips, ensuring low earth resistance and enhanced fault current dissipation.

Designed and installed as per IS 3043 guidelines, this earthing system provides safe discharge of fault current, lightning current, and leakage current into the soil.

1️⃣ GI Plate Electrode

  • Material: Mild Steel Plate, Hot Dip Galvanised
  • Standard Size:
  • 300mm x300mm x 3mm/6mm (as per IS3043 For GI plate Earthing ) .
  • 600mm × 600mm × 3mm/6mm (as per IS 3043 for GI plate earthing) .
  • Coating: Heavy Hot Dip Galvanisation (minimum 80 microns or as per IS norms) .
  • Installation Depth: Minimum 3 meters below ground level (or as required to achieve desired earth resistance) .

2️⃣ GI Hot Dip Galvanised Strips (2 Runs)

  • Material: Hot Dip Galvanised Iron
  • Strip Size (Common):
    • 25mm × 3mm
    • 32mm × 6mm
    • 50mm × 6mm
  • Two parallel runs provided for:
    • Better conductivity.
    • Redundancy and safety .
